Our Talent Tribute Monthly Feature is designed to celebrate the phenomenal staff that serve our Members.
Ever Since joining the VALLEYLIFE team in August of 2023 as an Executive Assistant, Stacey has made it her mission to lend a helping hand whenever needed to ensure things run smoothly. Each day, she not only assists VALLEYLIFE executives with their tasks, but has also been known to provide additional assistance in departments like Maintenance, Human Resources, and Communications. Despite only being with the organization for a relatively short amount of time, she has become a friend to many of her colleagues, often bringing a positive energy with her into the office.
Before VALLEYLIFE, Stacey grew up in Lansing, Michigan as one of two children. She would go on to receive her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Central Michigan University and begin an impressive 28-year administrative career, holding numerous titles including Office Manager, HR Generalist, and Executive Assistant. In 2008, she made the move to the Phoenix area, where she has since built a happy life for herself and her family.
Outside of VALLEYLIFE, she enjoys any opportunity she has to spend time with her loved ones. Stacey has always been strong in her faith and believes in spreading love and positivity to those around her. Some of her hobbies include diamond painting and cheering on her favorite football team, the Detroit Lions. She has one son; two step-daughters with her husband of 14-years, Brian; and three small grandchildren.

We sat down and asked Stacey about her VALLEYLIFE experience as a whole, and this is what she had to say.
1. How would you describe your ideal day at VALLEYLIFE?
My ideal day at VALLEYLIFE is when the office is bustling with talk and some laughter. I love it when we are all working together as a team not only solving problems, but also being creative and proactive in our approach to supporting the entire organization of VALLEYLIFE.
2. With a year and a half of tenure under your belt here at VALLEYLIFE, please share with us what it is about the organization that inspired you to get involved.
I grew up in Michigan and have a very large extended family which included my Aunt Alice, my mother’s sister, who was born with developmental disabilities. It was difficult for my grandmother to raise 11 children on very little money. Eventually, Alice was placed in a group home, much like ours, so she could receive the care she needed. After arriving at her group home Alice was able to thrive in her environment and make life-long friendships. It’s been great working at VALLEYLIFE and I can honestly say that knowing your loved one is being cared for gives many families the peace of mind they so desperately need.
3. Can you tell us what you enjoy most about interacting with Members?
I always enjoy seeing the Members here on the main campus. They are beginning to recognize me and have become more comfortable greeting me. It brightens my day particularly when they visit the administration office for coffee and to pick up water bottles. Their smiles and cheerful “hellos” warm my heart. It really is great working at a place with purpose and meaning.
4. What skills or qualities do you think are most important for success in your position?
The skills I believe are the most important in my position include project management skills and emotional intelligence. I firmly believe in maintaining clear communication in the office and always following up with my colleagues after delegating tasks.
5. Lastly, what do you hope to accomplish or learn in your future at VALLEYLIFE?
I have always had an administrative servant mindset. I want to continue using my skills and talents to serve those here at VALLEYLIFE who work to move the organization forward. I want to continue building relationships throughout the entire organization. We all matter here at VALLEYLIFE and I hope to convey that to everyone I meet.
